Daisy

Daisy is a professional Commercial/Film/TV SAG Actress, Model, Emcee, TV Host, Dancer, Producer and Independent Filmmaker with over 20 years experience. She currently lives on the East Coast, but travels nationally for various projects. Daisy is Talent for Pittsburgh's CW/KDKA CBS Pittsburgh and Host of the CW BUZZ and FAN N'ATION, a local sports fan culture show. Not only is she talented on stage and in front of the camera, but her exceptional creative and organizational skills has allowed her to work in various behind-the-scenes roles such as Producer, Shoot Production Coordinator, Talent Casting Assistant, Stage Manager, Director, Stand-in, and also as a past Personal Assistant to Tyler Perry. It was her role as Sarah Brown in her high school's production of the musical "Guys and Dolls" that inspired her to make a career out of her passion for acting, and she went on to receive her degree in Film Studies & Theater Arts with a full scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh.  

 

Daisy also works as a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty. She is also the founder of Glam Life Getaways, which manages short-term vacation rentals, and Glam Life Events & Entertainment, an event planning and entertainment coordination company. When not on the clock, she is prominently involved in Pittsburgh's social scenes and philanthropic communities. Her appealing charisma, professional work ethic, and vibrant personality have all attributed to her on-going success.

CW GREEN TEAM
Daisy is now the newest member of Pittsburgh's CW Green Team!  As a member of the Green Team, Daisy works alongside other team member Chelsea as a promotional agent for the WPCW-TV station (a CBS Affiliate).  She will represent the station at live events and on the air to link the community to the network.  She will also conduct interviews at events, emcee events, and produce videos (using Final Cut Pro) and other content for their website and their social media channels.

DAISY MEETS PGH DAD

On October 9th, Daisy emceed Pittsburgh's 4th Annual Bond Soiree at Perle Market Square.  Guest enjoyed a masquerade James Bond theme party, including delicious treats, a DJ, red carpet treatment, and Bond fashion show...all while raising money for the Kidney Foundation.

Daisy worked two days in an airport scene for the upcoming film "Meet the Coopers", starring Diane Keaton, John Goodman, and Olivia Wilde.  This holiday comedy will be released during the 2015 holiday season.















Oscar Party

Daisy attended Pittsburgh's Oscar Viewing Party on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Heinz Field.  The event - “Highmark Presents Lights! Glamour! Action!”™ -  allowed attendees to enjoy a red carpet entrance, champagne reception, the live telecast of the 2015 Oscars® on the BIG SCREENS, gourmet food stations, fashion presentations, and a silent auction to benefit the Pittsburgh Film Office.

Daisy attened Couture Fashion week in NYC at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Mahattan on February 15th.  The 4pm Show highlighted Ly Giam Tin (Winner Project Runway Vietnam) and Fatou Ndene Ndiaye (USA Senegal).  Performances by Singer Stella Matteoni and Alma NYC Dancers.

Acting for the Camera workshop with Mimi Eisman

Daisy participated in an Acting for the Camera summer workshop with acting coach Mimi Eisman, founder of "Lights, Camera, Eisman".  The intimate classes incorporated improv games and cold-readings for a informative yet entertaining course in acting for the camera and auditioning techniques.

Industry Workshop hosted by Casting Agent Erica Arvold

Daisy attended "A Panel Discussion with Industry Professionals" in Charlottesville, VA.  This workshop was hosted by Casting agent Erica Arvold, and provided great insight for those interested in moving to Hollywood.

Women's Day "The Gift"
 
 Women's Day - a gift that will keep on giving! 
 
Daisy was excited to be able to use her talents for God during this year’s Women’s Day. She produced and narrated the opening video, with the editing help of LV Harrell of LaMarv Productions. In addition, she had the opportunity to use her dancing skills once again in the hip hop dance finale (a dance mix of Mary Mary’s “Shackles” and “Heaven”). She also shot footage of the event, and again using the help of LV Harrell, created an event highlight reel for the church’s website.  All three videos are available here on her website for viewing.

This year’s Women's Day entitled "The Gift," was a gift that will surely keep on giving. Over 800 women gathered at Portsmouth Renaissance Hotel to hear Women's Ministry Leader, Jennifer Lambert, preach powerfully about the gift of God. Based on John 4:10, "If you knew the gift of God...," she called the women to open the Gift of God, and live a life of radical gratitude striving to appreciate the greatest gift God has ever given: His Son. There was an overwhelming sense of excitement throughout the afternoon as the fellowship was encouraging, amazing door prizes were given, and musical performances that were simply spectacular.

Bullock and Cooper Shoot
 
Daisy recently shot a Bullock and Cooper commercial at Regent University’s law building. She was cast as an upstanding citizen of the community who was being charged with a DUI, which led to these attorneys representing her. Tanya Bullock and Wanda Cooper are twin sisters who own a general practice firm located in Virginia Beach.

Daisy attended the State of the Industry event for Virginia Film on Wed February 3, 2011 at the DuPont Sustainable Solutions (Formerly Coastal Training Technologies).

This free yearly event was a great time to network with actors, filmmakers, and other people from all aspects of the film industry. There was great food, movie screenings, and vendors representing costume design to make-up artists to acting agents and classes.

MGM'S PAUL WEBER - COLD READING WORKSHOP
   
Daisy had the opportunity to participate in a Cold Reading Workshop with Paul Weber, senior casting director from MGM Film & Televsion. About 32 actors from various acting backgrounds convened at the Actors Place in Virginia Beach to learn from Mr. Weber about the art of auditioning for film/TV.

TYLER PERRY'S "MADEA'S BIG HAPPY FAMILY" PLAY


Daisy was able to enjoy a date night with her hubby to see Tyler Perry's newest play - "Madea's Big Happy Family". The show was held at the Ted Constant Center in Norfolk on April 20th. What a great mix of comedy, drama, and life lessons from Madea herself! They were entertained by the touching story and the impressive singing. It's so captivating to see Tyler parade around in that Madea dress! Be sure to check it out when it comes to your city!

VA INSTITUTE OF MARINE SCIENCE: "BLING MY BOAT"

Daisy was cast as a principal in the VIMS educational video called "Bling My Boat".  Her character, Alana, was a boating instructor relating information on boating and environmental safety.
